The corporate identity of the ASTRA gas station
In 2020, VDS began cooperation with the ASTRA brand, which owns a network of gas stations in the Republic of Dagestan. The result of the work of the VDS design and engineering bureau and the Customer's team was the new corporate identity of the ASTRA gas station and the subsequent rebranding of the first three network facilities.
ASTRA's new corporate identity is inspired by the landscape and natural color palette of the largest reservoir in the North Caucasus – the Chirkeysky Reservoir, which is often called the "sea in the mountains". The shoreline of the reservoir is heavily indented, in places there are canyons and caves. Numerous bays and inlets cut into low mountain formations.
The local picturesque landscapes of the Chirkei reservoir, vaguely reminiscent of the fjords of Norway, formed the basis for the sign and logo developed by VDS. The combination of azure, graphite and brown colors in the exterior of the gas station, the wood paneling of the building, the corrugated frieze of the canopy and the cladding of the pylon made it possible to effectively distinguish the ASTRA brand from the total mass of gas stations in the city.
We thank the ASTRA brand for their courage and full trust in the VDS Team! It was this approach that made it possible to turn the ASTRA network facilities into an "oasis among the mountains of typical development."
