The corporate identity of the designs of the Rompetrol gas station
The trademark “Rompetrol” belongs to the holding company KazMunayGas International (KMGI), an international asset of the Kazakh national company KazMunayGas. The Rompetrol network of filling stations experienced a period of rapid growth thanks to the introduction of a new business model. Under the new concept, the subsequent renovation of stores and restaurants under the “hei” brand (at premium class filling stations), along with the respective redesign of the interior, has led to an increase in revenue.
The main goal for VDS specialists
As requested by the oil company, the main goal for VDS specialists was to create a distinct image, employing a modern approach to structural and design challenges, while maintaining brand recognition and reconstructing filling stations with minimal cost, without the demolition of existing stations.
Symbolic meaning
“The color orange is highly symbolic in the cultures of the regions where Rompetrol operates — it is the color of saffron, one of the most ancient, prized, and expensive spices, which, for several thousand years, was delivered to Europe via the Incense Route.” Galina Nechaeva, Head Specialist in cultural studies and design semiotics, VDS Innovation development department.
