Six (6) retail sites were nominated for the title of “Best Filling Station of 2019” – all of them had become winners of the “Best Filling Station of the Month” in 2019. For three (3) of the nominees, VDS completed the design, development and production of Retail Visual Identities (RVI) elements and structures. The “Compass” filling station No. 3 in Almaty won.
The best filling station of the 2019 year
The multi-fuel full service filling station No. 3 of the “Compass” network in Almaty (Kazakhstan) was recognized as the best filling station of the Year 2019, according to the specialized magazine “Sovremennaya AZS” (Modern Filling Station).
Development of design and RVI elements of the station
VDS developed the design and RVI of the station, manufactured branded structures and elements (totem, canopy, the building facade cladding and signage).
Nominations for the title of “Best Filling Station of 2019”
6 fuel retail sites were nominated for the title of “Best Filling Station of 2019” (winners of the contest “Best Filling Station of the Month” in 2019), including filling stations across Russia, Ukraine and Kazakhstan. For 3 of the nominees, the design, development and production of Retail Visual Identities (RVI) elements and structures were completed by VDS. In addition to “Compass” filling station No. 3, among the nominees were: “Tatneft” filling station No. 77 in Kazan and “Tatneft” flagship filling station No. 329 in Almetyevsk, which were named the “Best Filling Station of the Month” in May and November 2019, respectively. During the construction of “Tatneft” filling station No. 77, VDS also acted as a general contractor.

About the contest
The contests “Filling Station of the Month” and “Filling Station of the Year” are conducted by the specialized magazine Sovremennaya AZS (Modern Filling Station).
In the contest “Filling Station of the Month” the stations that are original in design, technical solutions or equipment are involved, which differ from traditional gas stations. Any company that has built or operates a non-standard filling station can take part in the competition.
The winners of the contest “Filling Station of the Year” are determined on a parity basis:
1) Voting members of the jury
2) The reaction of the audience and the number of likes on the page on Facebook (https://www.facebook.com/SovremennayaAZS/). Facebook (https://www.facebook.com/SovremennayaAZS/).
3) Interactive voting of the participants of the International Conference and Exhibition “Modern Filling Station: Fuel Retail 2020”.
