VDS Methodology: Design Prototyping stage
Many years of experience have allowed VDS to form a successful methodology for implementing projects for rebranding gas station networks. This approach allows for a massive rebranding with a comfortable economy, timing and efficient operation of the network.

One of the significant stages of work on the VDS methodology is design prototyping.
At this stage, the VDS team is involved in the search for an expressive corporate identity and suitable solutions that will provide a spectacular day and night view of the station. As part of prototyping the design, we experiment a lot with shapes, materials, lighting and interfaces.
The approbation of design solutions takes place at the first pilot facility — a prototype design. As a result of the acceptance of the first pilot, we, together with the Customer, determine the list of improvements before the launch of mass production. After entering the series, mandatory replacement of key elements is carried out at all pilot facilities.
One of the successful cases of work using the VDA methodology was the project of large-scale rebranding of 243 TEBOIL stations in 2022.
In the synchronous interaction of the VDS project team and the TEBOIL team, a dynamic corporate identity was developed and adopted in continuity with the style of the TEBOIL network in Finland.
In July 2022, we implemented the first pilot facility in an updated corporate identity — a prototype design.
It took us only 45 days to complete the stages of development, approval, design, prototyping, production and installation at the first facility.
The prototype design allowed us to work out and approve the proposed design solutions and proceed to the stage of prototyping technologies at subsequent gas stations.
We took into account the wishes of the Customer and applied the best design solutions: we completely redesigned the design and glow of the frieze, adopted a recessed version of the logo, and made changes to the stele.
As a result of joint work with the TEBOIL team, a bright corporate identity was created and a new network of gas stations was successfully launched on the Russian Federation market!
