Rompetrol develops the "hei" concept in Moldova

A new Rompetrol gas station opened in Chisinau in the corporate style developed by VDS in 2019. This is the first gas station in the Republic of Moldova in the hei&coffee concept, aimed at increasing sales in the field of non-fuel and gastronomic products.
The new gas station with a total area of about 1,245 m2, includes a store with an area of more than 210 m2 for the sale of food and non–food products, a cafe of 110 m2 for offering a range of hei&coffee and an outdoor terrace.
After 7 years, according to the strategy to increase its presence in the retail market, Rompetrol set the task to update its corporate identity and popularize the concept of "hei", aimed at increasing sales in the field of non-fuel and gastronomic products.
The VDS team presented a design that meets the ECO concept and modern trends in architecture, while maintaining the continuity of the Rompetrol corporate identity. The structural and visual elements of the canopy and the store are made in a minimalist style and bring the hei brand to the fore, thereby declaring increased attention to the development of the gastronomic offer at the gas station.
The new design combines the image and price pylon. A special feature of the canopy was a thin pitched roof. The expressive structural frame of the ceiling saves metal consumption by 30%. The supporting columns of the canopy imitate the branches of a tree, observing the ecological philosophy of the style.
The result of VDS's long-term cooperation with the Rompetrol brand is hundreds of formatted and new gas stations in Romania, Moldova, Georgia, Bulgaria and one of the most expressive European brands of the oil refinery.
