Opening of the VDS architectural exhibition "Building the Future. Saving the past. The effect of teamwork"

The opening of the exhibition "Building the Future. Saving the past. The effect of teamwork" took place today in Minsk at the National Center for Contemporary Arts. The exhibition, organized by VDS, is dedicated to unique architectural projects.
The exhibition presents the works of outstanding architects: Renzo Piano, Jean Nouvel, Frei Otto, as well as large-scale urban projects of the VDS Company: the Dome over the Citadel, the Bridge over the Yesil River, the World Class fitness club.
In the discussion format, VDS experts (architects, designers, technologists, builders — project participants) shared their experience in implementing large-scale innovative projects and told how these projects began and what difficulties they had to face during the work.
The exhibition also featured exhibitors of Falconier bricks from the NWGlass-lab experimental glass workshop. At the opening, Nikita Andreev, the historical consultant of the workshop, gave a fascinating lecture on the technology of making such bricks, its history and revival.
