Our social projects are aimed at preserving biological diversity, restoring and expanding forest plantations, and preserving the world cultural heritage.
Responsible consumption and production
VDS is implementing a program for the efficient use of natural resources, integrated waste management and recycling of used branded equipment.
Sustainable consumption, production and processing helps us make a significant contribution to the development of society and the transition to a low-carbon and green economy.

In the production process, we use materials and processes that minimize environmental impact, promote energy saving and natural resources saving, ensure the safety of employees and society, and are recyclable and recyclable.
There are more than 10 waste collection points on the VDS area. Among them are ferrous metal, non-ferrous metal, cardboard/paper, film, plastic. Each type of waste is delivered separately to the waste collection point.
Life on land
VDS is implementing a program to protect and promote the recovery of natural ecosystems, bee populations, increasing the productivity of growing crops, as well as greening and development of park infrastructure.
These measures make it possible to reduce the process of biodiversity loss, habitat degradation and strengthen the capacity to restore humanity's relations with nature
Since 2015, under the leadership of the Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Belarus, VDS has been working on a project to prevent the extinction of the autochthonous Polesie population of the Central Russian bee.
The VDS Design Bureau, together with the National Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Belarus, adapted the design of an industrial beehive for organic beekeeping. More than 500 beehives have been manufactured at the VDS factory, and there are plans to implement another 6,000.
The Frangula Forest project is dedicated to the restoration of the ancient beekeeping industry in 12 apiaries throughout Belarus.
We use the best practices of the past: we collect honey from wild plants once a year, we do not use paraffins and chemical reagents. That's what our fathers did— that's what we do!
In 2023, together with 8 beekeepers, we managed to collect more than 10 tons of Frangula honey. For the first time in 25 years, we are witnessing an unprecedented content of honeydew, characterized by a unique taste and beneficial properties.
As part of the "Birds Protection" project, VDS takes care of the preservation of their population and annually uses more than 5 tons of grain for feeding birds.
For the grand opening of the gas station No. 8 of PJSC Tatneft, VDS prepared bird feeders for birds in order to improve the territory of the gas station. The products are installed in the "green" zone.
Over 5 years, more than 50,000 trees have been planted within the framework of the VDS project for the development of park infrastructure, which decorate and green the territory of Belarus.
VDS employees planted a pine alley in a historical place — the village of Gorodishche — with a length of 9 km. A project has been implemented to plant 5,000 seedlings of coniferous trees near the Ptich and Menka rivers, which has received the approval of the city authorities.
Sustainable cities and communities
VDS is implementing a program for the development of urban infrastructure for all segments of the population, improving energy efficiency, adequate energy supply, preservation and restoration of historical values and cultural heritage of mankind.
Improving the resilience, culture and safety of cities implies the creation of a more fair, environmentally sustainable and prosperous world.
VDS has been involved in the preservation of ancient Russian paintings and the discovery of frescoes for more than 10 years.
We took part in a project to preserve the frescoes of the Transfiguration Church in Polotsk, built in the middle of the XII century.
The Church of the Transfiguration of the Savior is a historical and cultural value proposed for inclusion in the UNESCO World Heritage List.
VDS is actively involved in the project to preserve the traditional beekeeping industry on trees.
In 2020, the culture of Beekeeping was included in the Intangible Cultural Heritage List by UNESCO.
