VDS reconstructed four BP filling stations in Moscow region in 45 days

VDS changed the exterior of the four stations according to the approved design of the BP retail network of filling stations, as well as replanned and redesigned the retail space interior of the control room building and performed the landscaping.

In December 2019, VDS and BP (formerly — British Petroleum) teams completed the reconstruction of four filling stations of the brand in Moscow and Moscow regio: filling station No. 058 located in Moscow, 53 Maryinsky Park Str.; filling station No. 017 located at the address: Moscow Oblast, Naro-Fominsk District, Naro-Fominsk, Kiev Highway, 74 km; filling station No. 255, Moscow Oblast, Shakhovskoy District, Ramenskoye rural settlement, near Gorodkovo village; filling station No. 232, Moscow Oblast, Sergiev Posad Municipal District, Bereznyakovskoye rural settlement, M8 highway, 78 km.

“We changed the exterior of the four stations according to the approved design of the BP retail network of filling stations, as well as replanned and redesigned the retail space interior of the control room building and performed the landscaping,” described the reconstruction process Alexey Rudenko, VDS Group Regional Development Director. “Our specialists from VDS Design and Construction Center have developed the interior design of the control room building and a landscaping plan. New elements naturally fit into the existing landscape and correspond to the corporate identity of BP. The following necessary elements and structures were produced at VDS plant: filling station canopies, columns, main information totems, facade elements of the control room building, navigation, lighting equipment, etc.”

One of BP style-forming elements — the original light strip for the facades of filling stations — is produced at a factory in the UK. “VDS is the only accredited manufacturer of Shell RVI elements in the CIS. We have a business partner supplying us components for Shell products. The same company is the supplier of original additional illumination elements for BP,” explained Alexey Rudenko. “The product is high-tech. It is produced using ultrasonic welding technology. Original patch panels combined with other technologies can reduce installation time and ensure long-term operation with low maintenance and repair costs.”

“45 days are a rather short time. After the acceptance, the client noted that the quality of our products, as well as the level of implementation meets the brand standards,” emphasized Alexey Rudenko.

VDS and BP are expected to work together in 2020. “As far as I know, there are plans for further development of the network of BP filling stations in the Russian Federation. For my part, I can confirm the readiness of VDS to maintain the partnership with BP. Cooperation with industry leaders such as BP stimulates VDS to improve its own technological and organizational processes and provides it with a stable leading position in the development and production of RVI equipment in the target markets,” concluded Alexey Rudenko.

VDS Group has been a business partner of the regional branches of BP Multinational Corporation in the CIS countries for 12 years.

The cooperation between BP and VDS started in 2007, when a division of TNK-BP ordered the production and installation of branded RVI elements and structures at the filling station on Brovarsky Avenue in Kyiv (Ukraine). On March 21, 2013, Rosneft acquired TNK-BP. From that point on, VDS began working with the BP brand as part of cooperation with the Russian oil and gas giant Rosneft —its long-term business partner since 2014. In 2017-2019, the cooperation between VDS and BP became large-scale and systematic.

“VDS team has significantly improved the technology for the production of BP totems, while reducing the total cost of ownership (TCO) by an average of 8-10%. Technological alloys of the frame have improved the totem’s strength characteristics. The trademark is made using new technology that increases the life of the element. Innovations were also used in the manufacture of lateral illumination of the totem, as well as in the paint technology increasing the dirt-repellent properties of the coating. All structural elements of the price totem have been developed in strict compliance with BP corporate standards and are made from the high quality original materials using VDS state-of-the-art equipment,” recalled Alexey Rudenko.
